Salvaged wood from defunct factories and buildings, renovations, wharf wood, the bottom of the great lakes, and demolitions make up reclaimed wood. Often needing to be de-nailed and cleaned up, the patina of authentic age and wear can be emphasized or it can be fully cleaned to expose its century old glory as fine furniture. These are often old growth trees whose age is revealed in the rings, often the wood has holes from former hardware, and cracks of age that add character.
